Dear Players and Parents,Football Qld and our regional governing body Football Qld SW (FQSW) are excited about the following sessions that we are providing for Girls only in the coming weeks.FQSW are hosting a variety of activities aimed at driving female participation forward and giving a clear message of the DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS across the country. These training sessions offer two ways to stay in a sport that will keep your daughter active and engaged and give her the opportunity to build confidence and develop her social skills.Girls play an fundamental part of the development of football all across Australia. The following development sessions will provide an important platform on how we can continue to drive the participation of girls / women in football at all levels, from club, development programs, Community Cup teams, NPL Representative teams, Qld teams, through to the W League ROAR squads and the Matilda’s.These sessions are open to all registered female players in the Toowoomba competition born between 2011 and 2007, being from U7 – U11.All interested players can come together for a session with David Nugent FQ/SWQ Regional Development Officer, FQSW Community Cup Coaches, SWQ Thunder FC NPL (National Premier League) coaches and a few of the SWQ Thunder NPLW Women players. This is a great way to have some fun, and get a greater understanding of the FFA’s female “Community and Elite” pathways, while under the guidance of these experienced coaches and current elite female players. These sessions will commence Sunday 5th August and will run for 7 weeks. They will be held at Captain Cook Ovals, McGregor St from 9.30am to 11.00am.These are FREE to attend, they are not compulsory and girls are welcome to come to only one or to the whole lot.
