Football Federation Australia has divided coach education into two streams: The Community Pathway and The Advanced Pathway.
Coaching courses are regularly conducted throughout South West Queensland by Salvo Sottile in Toowoomba and David Nugent in regional areas.

COMMUNITY COACHING PATHWAY
The Community Coaching Pathway is designed for coaches whose involvement with football is largely at the Amateur level. While not necessarily looking to carve a career in the game, community coaches still seek assistance in the preparation, organisation and conduct of safe, age-specific training sessions.
Community courses are short, easily accessible and low-cost, with coaches able to enter the pathway at the level appropriate to the age group they will be teaching.

ADVANCED COACHING PATHWAY
Graduates from the Advanced Pathway form the pool of coaches that are to be considered for full and part-time employment as football coaches, with courses specifically designed for coaches who work with ‘Performance Phase’ players.
Advanced courses are longer and more intensive, in recognition of the extensive time and effort required to become a professional football coach.
